COVID-19 – Lessons Learned (Hopefully)
2020, what a year! And, it’s not over yet! If anyone had said in 2019, 2020 would be what it has been, no one would have believed them. Interestingly, to my knowledge, not one ‘prophet’ saw COVID-19 coming, albeit at least one from the US said in March, “It was finished, gone forever, and that it would never be back.” Plenty more said something similar. At the time 150k Americans were infected with the virus. Now, over 10m are infected, in the US alone, and it is getting worse with record-breaking numbers recorded daily. Back in March, when the ‘prophets’ who did not see COVID coming, were prophesying it would be quickly destroyed, Amos 3:7 was their go-to verse, which says, “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.” Again, none of the ‘prophets’ saw COVID coming, and none of them got it right regarding its severity and longevity. And since then I have not heard one of them say, I am sorry. What a mess! What a poor witness from the church! End times signs should be events leading unbelievers to the church in search of answers. Christians should be providing hope, rather than a reason to stay away. Right now, the world mocks the church, especially those that got it so wrong. Hopefully, we have learned some valuable lessons through 2020 which will bring the change the church so desperately needs.
Kingdom Seekers 2020/21
Despite the disruption of 2020, we have remained busy. The Revelation the Revival was published and another book is about to be published. The next is a commentary on the book of Revelation, called, The Book of Revelation, Proclaimed and Explained. Also, Kingdom Seekers continues to grow narrowing in on the milestone of 300k followers, which we expect to reach before Christmas. Adding to Kingdom Seekers on Facebook, we are nearing our third year for Kingdom Seekers Fellowship. Kingdom Seekers Fellowship is made up of a small group of believers who are dissatisfied with ‘church as usual,’ and are fed-up with the general lack of understanding (and interest) of Bible prophecy. Currently, we are studying the book of Revelation, and have been since January. We have just completed the sixteenth chapter and expect to finish this series by March 2021. Following the book of Revelation, we will be studying the book of Daniel. Prior to the book of Revelation, we spent six months in the book of Zechariah. While we remain busy in 2020 the disruption has impacted our commitment to running Bible prophecy conferences in developing nations. We did manage to squeeze in one in Uganda and are working towards the next set for early 2021, which will be in Tanzania, dependant on COVID restrictions. To supplement, however, we hope to be doing more podcasting sessions, which will be officially launched in 2021. Until then, we press on, ringing the bell, sounding the alarm, looking, watching, waiting, and praying for the return of Christ. And, I hope you do too! Stay safe, stay awake, and stay real. Maranatha
